ENISA announces the appointment of twenty (20) members from across Europe, to its Permanent Stakeholders’ Group (PSG). The members, appointed “ad personam”, constitute a multidisciplinary group deriving from industry, academia, and consumer organisations and have been selected upon the basis of their own specific expertise and personal merits. ENISA’s PSG group is composed by “nominated members” and the appointed “ad personam” members, all in total 23 members. Three (3) “nominated members” represent national regulatory authorities, data protection and law enforcement authorities.
GlobalPlatform, the organization which standardizes the management of applications on secure chip technology, has announced its Board of Directors for fiscal year 2015, following closely contested annual elections for six of the eleven Board seats. Senior Business Leader of Chip Innovation at Visa Inc., Mark Kekicheff retains his position as Chairman for the fifth consecutive year. He will be supported on the Executive Committee by Uwe Wittig – Group Vice-President within the Mobile Security Business Unit at Giesecke & Devrient – who will continue to undertake the role of Vice-Chair, and Yves Moulart – Director of Development and Innovation within ST Microelectronic’s Secure MCUs Division, Integrated Secure Solutions – who has been re-elected as GlobalPlatform’s Secretary / Treasurer.
SIMalliance, the global, non-profit industry association which simplifies secure element (SE) implementation to drive the creation, deployment and management of secure mobile services, has elected Hervé Pierre to serve a one-year term as the organisation’s new Chairman of the Board. Hervé Pierre, who has served as SIMalliance’s full-time General Secretary since 2006, has recently taken up a new position as Embedded Software & Products (E&P) Senior Director, Strategy, within Gemalto. In this new position, he replaces Frédéric Vasnier as Gemalto’s Board member representative for SIMalliance. Hervé has been elected to the position of Chair by fellow SIMalliance Board members representing Giesecke & Devrient, Morpho, Oberthur Technologies, ST Incard and VALID. Prior to his engagement as SIMalliance General Secretary, Hervé was Director of Strategic Programs within the Gemplus Telecom Business Unit. He has also held roles at Alcatel Business Systems and Olivetti.

Standardization body, GlobalPlatform, announces that Bruno Benteo, Vice President Innovation at Morpho Business Solutions Division, has been appointed as its new Systems Committee Chair.
The GlobalPlatform Systems Committee defines open specifications that can be used for the back-office infrastructure for the deployment and management of one or more embedded applications on secure chip technology. The group works to create an industry and technology neutral application management environment which is able to support all market requirements, with specific support for secure chips based on GlobalPlatform Specifications.
Mobey Forum, the global industry association, which empowers banks to lead in the future of mobile financial services (MFS) worldwide, has announced that Jordi Guaus, Head of Mobile Payments at CaixaBank, has been elected to serve as Chair of the Board. Jordi has served on the Mobey Forum Board of Directors since 2009 and is also Chair of the association’s Business Workgroup, which works to create a common understanding of business opportunities, trends and challenges within the MFS landscape. The group is currently working on the impact of host card emulation (HCE) for banks.
