Gemalto is enabling Robi Axiata Limited ('Robi'), Bangladesh's second largest mobile operator in terms revenue, to automatically detect and configure new devices on its network, allowing its subscribers to enjoy a smooth transition when they change handsets. The Gemalto LinqUs Device Management platform delivers over-the-air data settings such as MMS, internet and email to the end-user's device, and also provides marketing analysis of the installed devices for targeted promotional campaigns.

The FIDO® (Fast IDentity Online) Alliance), an industry consortium launched in 2013 to revolutionize online security with open standards for simpler, stronger authentication, has announced that board member NTT DOCOMO, INC., also Japan’s market leading mobile network operator (MNO), intends to expand FIDO authentication for its country-wide network with new FIDO Certified™ devices, and by extending FIDO authentication through DOCOMO ID to carrier billing services partners. In May, NTT DOCOMO became the first MNO worldwide to enable FIDO authentication. In a rapid expansion which extends FIDO authentication to third-party mobile commerce partners and more customers throughout Japan, NTT DOCOMO, has announced it will offer FIDO authentication in 10 devices, more NTT DOCOMO services, and partner services.

The TSH delivers payment credentials onto the secure element or directly on the device using tokenization. Gemalto announces it is supplying its Sealys eCover for ePassports to Darphane, the Turkish Mint and Stamp Printing House. Gemalto is already the provider for the Turkish personalization program, having deployed the Coesys Issuance solution for the country's national authorities. With this new contract, Gemalto now provides these Turkish authorities with a complete end-to-end passport service, offering a one-stop implementation plan. For Turkey's 75 million citizens, electronic passports are issued for new applications as well as renewals. Currently, more than two million ePassports are issued each year.

Morpho (Safran) announced today that it has signed a new 5-year agreement with NZ Customs Services (NZCS) through to 2020. This will see NZCS rollout an initial nine next generation Morpho e-Gates in 2015 at Auckland international airport, with the option to supply new and replacement gates over the next five years across major New Zealand airports.
